Medical Director, Breast Imaging Radiology position - NO Nights/NO Weekends!
Join our well-established SSM Health Breast Care team in St. Louis as Medical Director, with a 0.8 clinical FTE and 0.2 administrative FTE split. Were looking for someone with a solid foundation, knowledge, or experience in Breast Imaging Radiology, and the ability to work collaboratively with our SSM Health Cancer Care team.
Our growing group is seeking an additional fellowship-trained breast radiologist to join a collegial team of five sub-specialty breast radiologists. With a planned leadership transition, were seeking a candidate who brings leadership experiencesomeone ready to help advance the group and engage effectively within our multi-state, not-for-profit health system. Clinical excellence and work-life balance are top priorities for us.
This unique team, established in 2021, is employed by the hospital and provides top-tier breast imaging services across three facilities, overseeing more than 90,000 breast imaging exams annually, with no call expectations. Operations are evolving to support an ideal workflow for breast imagers, and SPECTRA PACS mammography equipment was recently installed. On-site, we have dedicated breast diagnostic nurse navigators daily at each location, plus a robust high-risk program supported by breast high-risk nurse navigators. Our multidisciplinary team includes highly experienced professionals, including fellowship-trained breast surgeons.
Requirements for the role include:
- M.D. or D.O.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Diagnostic Radiology
- Fellowship in Breast Imaging
- Leadership experience (academic or private practice)
- Unrestricted medical license in Missouri and Illinois
- Membership on the Hospital medical staff
