Description
Interventional Radiology Opportunity in TN
You're stepping into a high-volume Interventional Radiology role with a well-established private practice that's expanding its outpatient footprint. This is a true Interventional Radiologist position with broad case mix, strong referral relationships, and a structured rotation built for sustainability. If you want partner-track upside with meaningful time off and support to ramp in smoothly, let's talk.
Practice Overview
- You'll join an independent private radiology group supporting multiple hospitals and outpatient sites, including a dedicated IR clinic/OBL
- Full-spectrum IR with PAD, oncology interventions, dialysis access, venous disease, embolizations, biopsies, stroke thrombectomy, and PE interventions
- Strong built-in referrals through long-standing relationships with major regional health systems and a large multi-specialty clinic
- Robust support: 3 APPs plus dedicated clinic/OBL staff (RNs, techs, MAs, LPN, scheduler, reception team)
Schedule
- Structured weekly rotation: 1-2 hospital IR/call shifts, 1 lighter outpatient hospital procedure day, 1 dedicated IR clinic/OBL day
- Optional vascular imaging shift that can be done remotely or at the clinic for a break from heavy radiation exposure
- Call is 1:5 and includes IR + stroke intervention coverage; expect about 1 weeknight of call per week
- Weekend call rotates evenly (Fri-Sun): lighter Fri/Sat daytime with overnight call; Sunday reserved for emergencies only
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary guarantee starting at $750,000 (year 1) plus $2,000 per call night
- Sign-on bonus totaling $100,000 and $10,000 relocation allowance
- Partner-track with documented partner earnings averaging close to $1.2M; 1-year track with minimal stock purchase and real-estate buy-in option for passive rental income
- 11+ weeks of blocked vacation, $3,000 CME (partner-track), malpractice covered, family health premiums paid, HSA contribution, and 401k safe harbor + profit sharing
Candidate Requirements
- MD/DO with BE/BC in Interventional Radiology
- Comfort with full-spectrum IR, including stroke and emergent IR coverage as part of call
- Open to new grads or experienced physicians; structured ramp-up (6-12 months) with dedicated backup support
- No visa sponsorship available
Community & Location Highlights
- Mid-size West Tennessee community with an easy daily commute and access to both hospital and outpatient practice environments
- Family-friendly neighborhoods and a range of housing options that typically stretch further than major metro markets
- Convenient regional access for weekend travel, with larger-city amenities within a manageable drive
- Plenty of outdoor recreation nearby and a pace of life that pairs well with substantial blocked time off
