Our client is seeking an experienced Interim Director, Hospital Radiology, to provide leadership and operational oversight for a comprehensive imaging services department during a critical transition period. This onsite offers the opportunity to make an immediate impact on departmental performance, quality outcomes, staff engagement, and patient experience within a community hospital environment.
The Interim Director will oversee the daily operations of Radiology, ensure efficient, high-quality imaging services while maintaining compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards. The successful candidate will partner with physicians, technologists, nursing leaders, and hospital administration to drive operational excellence and support strategic priorities.
Key Responsibilities
• Direct day-to-day Radiology operations, including diagnostic imaging services.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and patient safety requirements.
• Lead staffing, scheduling, productivity, and workforce engagement initiatives.
• Monitor departmental quality, throughput, patient satisfaction, and operational metrics.
• Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and hospital leadership to improve service delivery.
• Oversee budget performance, resource utilization, and process improvement efforts.
• Mentor and support managers, supervisors, and frontline staff.
• Maintain a visible leadership presence and foster a culture of accountability and excellence.

Requirements
Qualifications
• bachelor’s degree required; Master's degree preferred.
• Progressive leadership experience within hospital-based Radiology services.
• Strong knowledge of imaging operations, regulatory standards, and quality improvement.
• Demonstrated success leading teams, managing budgets, and improving operational performance.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
Open to being 4 days a week onsite, no relocation required.
Travel reimbursement available, at cost.
