Position Overview
This is a unique leadership opportunity within a nationally recognized academic radiology department. The Division Chief will oversee the clinical, educational, and operational activities of the Emergency Radiology Division. The ideal candidate will be an accomplished Emergency Radiologist with strong leadership skills and a commitment to excellence in patient care, resident and fellow education, and academic development.
Leadership Responsibilities
The Division Chief will provide strategic and operational leadership for the Emergency Radiology Division, including:
- Oversee the clinical operations and quality of Emergency Radiology services
- Lead and mentor Emergency Radiology faculty, residents and fellows
- Participate in faculty recruitment and mentoring
- Expand and develop academic, educational, and research programs
Clinical Responsibilities
The Division Chief will maintain an active Emergency Radiology practice and participate in the clinical coverage of the Emergency Department.
Clinical responsibilities will primarily include interpretation of:
- CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Radiographs
Schedule & Flexibility
The position offers significant scheduling flexibility and may incorporate the Division's overnight remote schedule:
- 10-hour overnight shifts: 9:00 PM–7:00 AM EST
- 7 nights on / 21 nights off for overnight clinical coverage
- Flexibility to structure additional clinical, administrative, educational, and academic responsibilities around the leadership role
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
- MD, DO, or equivalent medical degree
- ABR Certification or Eligibility
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited Diagnostic Radiology residency
- Fellowship training or clinical experience in Emergency Radiology preferred
Compensation
- Competitive compensation commensurate with experience and leadership responsibilities ranging from $550,000 to $600,000
- Opportunities for additional compensation through clinical productivity/WRVU incentives
- Additional clinical opportunities may be available based on departmental needs and candidate interest
