Chief of Imaging Role Overview:
As the Chief of Imaging, you will provide administrative and clinical leadership for the Imaging Service, overseeing radiologists, technologists, and support staff. Your responsibilities will include setting strategic direction, ensuring compliance with VA and regulatory requirements, promoting quality improvement, and leading multidisciplinary collaboration throughout all imaging modalities (including X-ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound, and nuclear medicine).
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all operations and staff within Imaging Services, including recruitment, credentialing, and professional development.
- Develop and implement imaging protocols, policies, and best practices to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Foster a collaborative culture, supporting education and mentorship for residents, trainees, and professional staff.
- Work closely with medical leadership to coordinate imaging care for inpatient, outpatient, and emergency services.
- Participate in quality assurance, peer review, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead departmental meetings, represent Imaging in facility and system-wide committees, and contribute to strategic planning.
- Maintain active clinical practice as a diagnostic radiologist.
