Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner – Radiology
Durham, North Carolina
Private radiology practice in Durham, North Carolina is seeking a certified Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our team due to upcoming departure of our current Physician Assistant.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, performing a variety of image-guided and fluoroscopic procedures, including:
Fluoroscopy (GI Procedures)
Lumbar punctures
Myelograms
Intrathecal chemotherapy injections
Arthrocentesis and therapeutic joint injections
Feeding tube placement
Ultrasound-guided biopsies
Paracentesis and thoracentesis
Additional procedures as appropriate based on training and experience
Clinical responsibilities include helping with hospital consults, inpatient rounding, and pre- and post-procedural assessments. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical judgment, procedural proficiency and excellent communication skills while working collaboratively with radiologists, technologists and clinical staff.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited PA or NP program
NCCPA certification or NP board certification
Eligibility for or current North Carolina licensure
Excellent references
Self-motivated with ability to work efficiently, independently and/or cooperatively in a patient-centered environment.
Prior radiology or procedural experience preferred but not required for motivated and qualified candidates.
