Description
The Magnetic Resonance Technologist performs high quality MRI examinations for diagnostic purposes under the direction of a Radiologist.
Key Responsibilities:
- Must follow the indications of standard exam protocols and physician orders.
- Includes patient and family teaching with preparatory instruction prior to and during examination.
- Maintain accurate documentation.
- Other duties as necessary and/or assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2-4 years of experience functioning in a fast-paced environment performing MRI duties
- Proven history of high-quality images
- Must be competent with venipuncture
- Updated CEUs with state and national accrediting agencies
- High attention to detail with focus on quality patient care
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
- Proficient technical skills
Education:
- High School diploma or GED required
- Must be graduate of accredited school of Radiologic Technology
- Must hold current/ active Radiography credentials Kentucky license and ARRT
- Proper certification/registry in MRI.
- Maintain current BLS certification
As expected with all healthcare positions, must adhere to HIPAA/OSHA/BLOODBORNE PATHOGEN regulations and maintain annual required workplace trainings.
