The Magnetic Resonance Technologist performs high quality MRI examinations for diagnostic purposes under the direction of a Radiologist.

Key Responsibilities:

• Must follow the indications of standard exam protocols and physician orders.
• Includes patient and family teaching with preparatory instruction prior to and during examination.
• Maintain accurate documentation.
• Other duties as necessary and/or assigned.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2-4 years of experience functioning in a fast-paced environment performing MRI duties
• Proven history of high-quality images
• Must be competent with venipuncture
• Updated CEUs with state and national accrediting agencies
• High attention to detail with focus on quality patient care
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
• Proficient technical skills

Education:

• High School diploma or GED required
• Must be graduate of accredited school of Radiologic Technology
• Must hold current/ active Radiography credentials Kentucky license and ARRT
• Proper certification/registry in MRI.
• Maintain current BLS certification

As expected with all healthcare positions, must adhere to HIPAA/OSHA/BLOODBORNE PATHOGEN regulations and maintain annual required workplace trainings.
