Breast Imaging Fellowship – UTHealth Houston (2026–2027 Academic Year)
The Department of Diagnostic and Interventional Imaging at UTHealth Houston is seeking one fellow to fill a vacant position in our Breast Imaging Fellowship for the 2026– 2027 academic year.
Program Overview
The UTHealth Houston Breast Imaging Fellowship provides comprehensive, high-volume training in all aspects of breast imaging at multiple clinical sites, including county and referral centers. Fellows gain extensive experience in:
- Screening and diagnostic mammography
- Breast ultrasound and MRI
- Contrast enhanced mammography
- Image-guided breast procedures (stereotactic, ultrasound-guided, and MRI-guided biopsies)
- Multidisciplinary breast care with close collaboration with breast surgeons, oncologists, and pathologists
The fellowship emphasizes clinical excellence, academic development, and preparation for independent practice in both academic and private settings.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Completion of (or expected completion by July 1, 2026) an ACGME-accredited Diagnostic Radiology residency
- Eligibility for medical licensure in Texas
- One of the following work authorization statuses:
o J-1 visa
o Employment Authorization Document (EAD)
o U.S. Permanent Resident
o U.S. Citizen
